BINACID INJECTION

Rabeprazole Sodium Injection IP 20 mg
Product Overview

Binacid Injection contains Rabeprazole Sodium 20 mg, a proton pump inhibitor (PPI) used to reduce gastric acid secretion. It is supplied as a lyophilized injection for intravenous (IV) use and is intended for administration under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional.

Key Benefits
  • Helps reduce excessive gastric acid secretion.
  • Provides effective acid suppression through proton pump inhibition.
  • Useful when intravenous acid-suppressive therapy is clinically indicated.
  • Supports management of acid-related gastrointestinal conditions.
  • Lyophilized formulation designed for stability and reconstitution before administration.
  • Supplied with Sterile Water for Injection IP 10 mL for reconstitution.
How It Works
  • Rabeprazole Sodium belongs to the proton pump inhibitor (PPI) class.
  • It acts on the H⁺/K⁺-ATPase proton pump in gastric parietal cells.
  • This inhibits the final step of gastric acid secretion.
  • By reducing gastric acid production, it helps increase gastric pH and provides relief from acid-related symptoms and conditions.
Therapeutic Applications

Rabeprazole injection may be used, as directed by a physician, in situations requiring acid suppression, including:

  • Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
  • Acid-related gastrointestinal disorders
  • Peptic ulcer disease
  • Hypersecretory conditions requiring proton pump inhibition
  • Situations where oral PPI therapy is temporarily unsuitable or not feasible
