How the Ingredients Work

PIODERM-6G combines four pharmacologically active components:

  • Ofloxacin 0.75%

    • A fluoroquinolone antibacterial agent.

    • Acts against susceptible bacteria by interfering with bacterial DNA replication.

    • Helps control the bacterial component of susceptible skin infections.

  • Ornidazole 2%

    • An antimicrobial agent active against susceptible anaerobic microorganisms and certain protozoa.

    • Helps address susceptible microbial components of mixed infections.

  • Terbinafine 1%

    • An antifungal agent.

    • Inhibits squalene epoxidase, an enzyme involved in fungal cell-membrane synthesis.

    • This disrupts fungal growth and helps manage susceptible fungal skin infections.

  • Clobetasol Propionate 0.05%

    • A potent topical corticosteroid.

    • Helps reduce inflammation, redness and itching associated with inflammatory skin conditions.

    • Its use should be limited to the duration and area prescribed by the physician.

Directions for Use

  • Apply a thin layer of the cream to the affected area as directed by the physician.

  • Clean and dry the affected area before application.

  • Wash hands before and after application unless the affected area is on the hands.

  • Avoid contact with the eyes, mouth and other mucous membranes.

  • Do not use more frequently or for a longer duration than prescribed.

  • Do not cover the treated area with an occlusive dressing unless specifically advised by a healthcare professional.
